Laura & Sam – Frogmore Creek Winery

March 16, 2017

Having travelled the world – 28 countries to be exact – and seen it all, Laura & Sam, wanted their wedding to reflect the adventurous spirit that had brought them together. To do that, these two globetrotting, Brisbane natives, chose Hobart, specifically Frogmore Creek Winery, as the site of their destination wedding.

They couldn’t have picked a better spot. The mild Tasmanian weather was a godsend for those who flew in from the scorching hot mainland (including yours truly). Both selected historic parts of Hobart for their preparations, Battery Point for Laura and the IXL building for Sam. To top it off, Frogmore Creek’s unique position on the slopes of the Meehan Range, provided gorgeous views of the Coal River Valley, the perfect stage for Laura & Sam to profess their love.

Frogmore Creek Winery

The Cambridge vineyard is situated on the base of the foothills at the end of the Coal River Valley, planted around Frogmore Creek Wines’ Cellar Door and the Restaurant overlooking the picturesque Barilla Bay. The Cambridge vineyard was first established between 1998-1999 and is the differenciated by a smaller diurnal variation than more inland vineyards (milder days and nights) – the moderating effect is from the proximity to the sea (Barilla Bay).
