It now seems normal nowadays when planning a wedding, that you make some allowance for the pandemic. Yet just over a year ago, Morgan & Jared were one of the very first to face this sudden and difficult scenario, handling an incredibly chaotic situation with a clear, level headedness and grace. These pandemic pioneers really brought it all together for their beach side celebration (the stunning Novotel Northbeach Wollongong), and once the day dawned, nothing was going to stop them getting married and having the most incredible party!
EDGE OF THE PANDEMIC
“There was definitely nothing funny about the immediate lead up to the wedding. We used 11AM mid-week cocktails as a coping strategy to the stressors developing at the time… hopefully we can look back and laugh at the chaos that was. Once everything got underway we had a great day and found ourselves laughing and enjoying each moment”
THE DRESS
“Dress shopping was actually really challenging! There’s a lot you don’t expect or think about when trying to find “the one. I ended up purchasing my dress from Made With Love about 9 months before our wedding. When it arrived I had it altered by a seamstress to add a few extra additions. In the end it was perfect!”
THE VENUE
“We looked at a few venues along the south coast after recently moving to the area. We found the Novotel had everything we were after in one place – The Deck has beautiful views of Wollongong’s North beach, a relaxed outdoor vibe and the location was perfect for our guests that were travelling”
FAVOURITE MOMENTS
“We absolutely loved our whole wedding day, it’s hard to choose a specific favourite moment! I loved walking down the aisle with my Dad and seeing Jared at the other end for the first time on the day. We loved joining our reception and stopping to watch everyone gathered together. We were able to relax and join in the celebration with our friends and family. We loved everyone getting up and getting groovy on the dance floor, and finally our send off at the end of the night with the guard of honour was heaps of fun!”
