April & Owen didn’t let a bit of rain dampen their wedding and celebrated their day with unbridled vigour. Thanks to their jovial and uplifting wedding party, the festivities and laughter kept rolling, no matter how inclement the weather. In fact, in between the spurts of torrential downpours, there was enough dry spells to grab some some spectacular shots from their incredible venue, Mountain Ridge Winery at Coolangatta.
Mountain Ridge Wines is located 8km east of historical Berry perched up on a ridge of Coolangatta Mountain, with majestic views to Coolangatta, Berry, Saddleback and Cambewarra Mountains – set on a 75 acre working farm. The restaurant is open three days a week and also available for weddings and functions. Wheelchair accessible facilities are available both at the cellar door and restaurant.
The vineyard was planted in 2007. Grapes are handpicked, produced and bottled on the property by the family with traditional wine making practices. Working towards sustainability Mountain Ridge Wines generates a large amount of their energy needs on solar panels. The winery employs traditional winemaking practices and all the wines are processed on the property.
